The bust of the Soviet Kazakh scientist-geologist, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan

The bust of the Soviet Kazakh scientist-geologist, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, public figure Kanysh Satbayev was installed in October 2001 at the intersection of K.Satbayev and E.Auelbekov streets. The initiator of the idea of installing the monument in Kokshetau was the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was located at that time in the city of Kokshetau. The bust is made of bronze and mounted on a pedestal of black labradorite. On the front side is the text: “Academician Kanysh Satbayev”. The authors of the monument: sculptor T.Zhumagaliev and architect K.Nasyrov.
